Mint Park, Highlight Delft, iii and VPInstruments

Through an Open Call, Highlight Delft, iii and VPInstruments invited artists to propose new experiments, works and performances around VPInstruments’ very unique sensor technology.

The chosen artist, Mint Park will be working within this company with highly specialized knowledge, equipment and technical support for her project.

For the companies involved, this residency offers an opportunity to work with artists who have an interface with their field of work and can handle technology to be used for new applications in a different context.

About Mint Park

This Seoul-born sound and new media artist works at the intersection of music, technology, science and art. In recent years, she has been researching the phenomenon of turbulence and creating a weather-like ecosystem of fluid dynamics with sound, air and light. Her audiovisual practice focuses on the experience of the interwoven physical environment and virtual spaces within an immersive environment created with sound, light and spatial devices. Designing her own audiovisual systems and instruments that are spatially and site-specific, she creates live performances and compositions to question and understand the constantly fluctuating existential qualities in today’s binary space and machine-quantified time. In addition to her own projects, Mint Park runs Unheard Records, an electronic music label focused on experimental music and sound practices by femme, queer and P.O.C artists. She is currently based in Amsterdam.

This project is supported by the Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie.
