Sound Protocols

As part of his residency at iii, Andio Lai conducted research into the ‘ideal instrument’, the ‘push button’ and the ‘knobs’. He interviewed iii members, performed at No Patent Pending #40 and conducted experiments from his studio in Hong Kong. From this research he produced: EZynth Sandbox (a Knob Test), The Medusa Piano(a Button Test) and Proto-Basket & Proto-Book (a Design Brief).
