‘Theatrical music of drills and vibrators during Muziekroute in Den Bosch’
‘ […] ‘theatrical’ was the performance by Nemø Ensemble, which by using drills and vibrators, provided for an intriguing half an hour in ‘Automatic Means of Human Labour’ by Hugo Morales. The two musicians swung vibrators connected to ropes back and forth in between pick-ups, which resulted in rhythms and curious little melodies that were different every instance as each apparatus produced a different tone. Thereafter, they extracted music from drilling machines by letting them rotate in varying speeds.’
