Tijs Ham is currently a PhD candidate for Artistic Research at the University of Bergen (UiB), Norway. Tijs Ham’s artistic research is situated in the field of live electronic music and encompasses instrument design, composition, structured improvisation, and audio-visual performance.

“My main research question involves the artistic use of chaotic processes and the implications of instability and unpredictability on all of the disciplines that my practice touches upon. The research is slowly building towards a long duration concert involving various live electronic setups and collaborations with musicians within an audio-visual framework.

iii’s residency program is also made possible through the support of Creative Industries Fund NL
