About Samuel Brzeski
Samuel Brzeski’s practice searches for the place and presence of the emotive body within the post-digital swirl of language. This involves exploring the inherent malleability of language to shape and/or question meaning, narrative, and experiences. Working primarily with acts of reading and vocal semantics, the works investigate how the emotional impacts of digital culture are manifested through literature, poetics, text, and voice. Reconfigurations of existing texts feature prominently, with texts selected for their poetic and political vibrations. A guiding principle of inherent rhythmicity is seen throughout all of the projects, which materialize as video, sound and light installations, hybrid texts, and vocal performances.
